Women, Infants, & Children (WIC)

Fruits and Vegetables

What is WIC?

Women, Infants and Children is a nutrition education program that aims to safeguard the health of women, infants, and children who are at nutrition risk. The program provides nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating, and referrals to health care. WIC is proven to keep woman, infants, and children healthier because it provides access to fresh and healthy food and regular check-ins with WIC staff. Children on WIC eat more foods that help their immune system, visit their doctors more, and are more likely to stay up-to-date on important vaccinations.
