Visitation
Inmate visitation is conduction by video visitation every day of the week. Visitation times vary from 6:00 AM to 9:45 PM. Visitation is based on housing units and classification. All visitors must submit a visitation application through smartjailmail.com. If approved, the person in-custody will send a visit invitation to the visitor to accept. Otherwise, visits may be scheduled on the incarcerated person’s day use time.
In order to schedule a visit with a Crook County inmate, the visitor must submit their driver's license for identification purposes with their visitation application. The visitation rules are as follows:

- Inmates may only have two visits per week. Visits are in 15 minute sessions at this time.
- Inmates may only visit during their day use time after they have been in custody for seven (7) days and are not on disciplinary restrictions.
- Visitors must be present when a lobby visit is scheduled or they will forfeit that visit. Visits scheduled outside of the inmate’s day use time will not be honored.
- Only two approved visitors will be allowed to visit simultaneously.
- Any visitor who causes a disturbance during the visit or while waiting in the lobby will be asked to leave. Their visit will be forfeited.
- No food drink, or tobacco products are allowed in the Sheriff’s Office Lobby.
- No unattended property will be allowed in the lobby.
- Items a visitor may try to give Sheriff’s Office staff for inmates will not be accepted.
- Inappropriate behavior (sexually explicit, obscene, violent/aggressive, etc.) will not be tolerated.
**Violation of the above rules may result in the banning of the visitor from any future visits**
