Public Notice - Crook County Planning Commission Meeting July 9 - TIME CHANGE to 3:00 PM

NOTICE OF PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING TIME CHANGE

 

Notice is hereby given that the Crook County Planning Commission’s regularly scheduled meeting at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, has been rescheduled to an earlier time to accommodate Planning Commissioner availability and will now begin at 3:00 p.m. for Planning Commissioner candidate interviews.

 

The principal subject(s) anticipated to be discussed are:

3:00 p.m.: Other Business: Planning Commission vacancy candidate interviews and discussion of recommendation of candidate to the Board of County Commissioners.  

4:00 p.m.: Public Hearing: Record Number 217-25-000150-PLNG, info below. Other Business: Community Development updates.

Record Number 217-25-000150-PLNG – Greg Kelso on behalf of Sean and Shawntelle Mueller have applied for a 7-lot subdivision, east of Juniper Canyon Road approximately 11 miles south of the City of Prineville. The specific property involved is map tax lot 161720B008600.

 

The hearing is being held pursuant to Crook County Code (CCC) 18.172 Administration Provisions

 

The application is subject to: Title 18, Chapters 18.40 (RR(M)-5 Zone), 18.124 (Supplementary Provisions), and 18.172 (Administration Provisions), Title 17, Chapters 17.08 (Definitions), 17.12 General Requirements and Subdivision Review Committee, 17.16 (Tentative Plans), 17.20 (Final Plat) 17.36 (Design Standards), and 17.40 (Improvements).

 

A notice of public hearing and location maps are being mailed to all affected property owners, and to the appropriate entities and public agencies at least 20 days prior to the Planning Commission hearing. A copy of the staff report will be available at https://co.crook.or.us/planning-commission seven days prior to the hearing at no cost.

 

The hearings will be conducted pursuant to CCC 18.172.081. Interested members of the public may provide oral testimony in favor, opposed, or neutral to the application. Written testimony or comments may be submitted to the Crook County Community Development Department by email at plan@crookcountyor.gov and may also be submitted in person or by mail to 300 NE 3rd St, Room 12, Prineville, OR 97754. Written testimony received by Friday, June 27, 2025, will be considered by staff prior to the issuance of the staff report and recommendation on this application. However, written testimony will continue to be accepted until the record closes, which may occur as soon as the conclusion of the public hearing.

 

Failure to raise an issue in the hearing, in person or by letter, or failure to provide sufficient specificity to afford the decision maker an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes an appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals based on that issue.

 

A copy of the application, all documents, and evidence relied upon by the applicant along with the applicable criteria are available for inspection at no cost and copies will be provided at reasonable cost in accordance with the County’s fee schedule.
