Crook County Planning Commission Regular Meeting 2.12.2025 @ 4:00 p.m.

NOTICE OF RESCHEDULED PLANNING COMMISSION HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Crook County Planning Commission has rescheduled the public hearing originally scheduled to take place at the Wednesday, January 22, 2025 meeting. The following public hearing will now be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. The public hearing is being held to consider the following:

Record Number: 217-24-000332-PLNG – Text Amendment to Crook County Code to bring the Floodplain sections into compliance with current State statutes and regulations, provide clear and objective criteria within the zoning ordinance to provide for greater understanding of requirements, allow for local flexibility in interpreting code language, edit code language that is incorrect, and remove references to outdated or removed sections. The hearing is being held pursuant to Crook County Code, Title 18 Zoning; Chapter 18.168 Legislative Amendments.

Written testimony or comments may be submitted to the Crook County Community Development Department by email at plan@crookcountyor.gov and may also be submitted in person or by mail to 300 NE 3rd St, Room 12, Prineville, OR 97754. Written testimony received by Friday, January 31, 2025, will be considered by staff prior to the issuance of the staff report and recommendation on this application. However, written testimony will continue to be accepted until the record is closed, which may occur as soon as the conclusion of the public hearing.

Failure to raise an issue in the hearing, in person or by letter, or failure to provide sufficient specificity to afford the decision maker an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes an appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals based on that issue.

A copy of the application, all documents, and evidence relied upon by the applicant along with the applicable criteria are available for inspection at no cost and copies will be provided at reasonable cost in accordance with the County’s fee schedule.
