Public Records Request for Records maintained by Crook County District Attorney’s Office
Oregon Public Records Law grants each person the right to inspect certain public records maintained by the County in accordance with federal and state law. Crook County also recognizes that certain records maintained by the County are not public records or may be exempt from public disclosure and that a request to access public records may require a balancing of the right of the public to access the records, individual privacy rights, governmental interest, confidentiality issues, and privilege issues. Additionally, when the County responds to requests to inspect or copy records, costs are incurred by the County.
All requests to inspect or copy public records maintained by Crook County District Attorney’s Office shall be made in writing sufficient to identify the specific document or documents requested, or the category or categories of documents requested. Staff will contact you within 5 business days of receiving this request.
Please refer to the Oregon State Police for requests for an individual’s criminal record. We do not process those requests. Do not use this public records request portal if you have a pending court date due or you are the suspect in a criminal investigation.
