Blueprint South 500-kV Transmission Line Project - Upcoming Open House Meetings
Citizens are invited to attend an open house hosted by Pacific Power introducing the Blueprint South 500-kV Transmission Line Project in south-central Oregon.
Pacific Power proposes to permit, construct, operate and maintain a 500-kV transmission line in south-central Oregon. The study area involves portions of four counties - Deschutes, Crook, Klamath, and Lake counties (refer to the attached Information Sheet). This proposed transmission line will build on the main transmission backbone to enable support for the large-load addition in the Pacific Power service territory, integration of new generation resources, and benefit the larger, interconnected transmission grid serving the Pacific Northwest and Intermountain regions of the Western U.S.
Pacific Power will host five public open house meetings -- four in-person meetings and one live virtual meeting online -- for the public to review and provide input on preliminary alternative routes to be carried forward into the permitting process.
The following in-person open houses will be hosted from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
