What is the Ag Extension Service District Advisory Board?
The Ag Extension Service District Advisory Board consists of Crook County residents from all geographical areas of the county. We appreciate that all of our board members have an interest in the different program areas that Extension has to offer: agriculture, livestock, youth development, gardening, forestry, wildfire, nutrition education, and Open Campus. The Ag Extension Service District board’s role is advisory and budget. As the advisory board - the members give feedback and advice to all program areas. As budget committee members – they discuss the budget that the budget officer presents and then vote to approve the budget. Meetings are held in May and then one in the fall/winter. The May meeting is when the budget is presented. At both meetings, all staff is present to discuss programming.
