2024 Crook County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) Community Input Meeting
2024 Crook County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) Community Input Meeting
A Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) is a community based plan that identifies a communities risk to wildfire, and prioritizes actions to reduce that risk. The Crook County CWPP Steering Committee, with help from the Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council (COIC), have been working together over the past year to update the 2014 Crook County CWPP. On Tuesday, January 7th, COIC facilitated a public input meeting for Crook County citizens to review and provide feedback on the final draft of the 2024 CWPP. This feedback will be incorporated to the final document before final adoption by the Crook County Commissioners. A recording of the public input meeting can be found on COIC's website here.
COIC and the Crook County CWPP Steering Committee are asking Crook County citizens to review the final document and to provide further feedback before final adoption. For questions, please contact Sommers Taylor, COIC Program Coordinator, at staylor@coic.org.
