Thrive Central Oregon
Thrive Central Oregon is an in-person counseling service that connects Central Oregonians to social services, transportation, and support. A representative from Thrive Central Oregon is available on a drop-in basis at Crook County Library from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM and 2:00 - 5:00 PM every Tuesday.

211info is a master directory of social services, counseling services, child care centers, medical and dental professionals, shelters, and other community resources in Oregon and Southwest Washington. 211info can be accessed online, by phone, and and by text. Services are available in Arabic, Cambodian, English, French, German, Hmong, Samoan, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.

Central Oregon Veterans Outreach (COVO)
Provides counseling and resources to homeless and at-risk veterans and their families. Services include housing assistance, career counseling and job placement assistance.

Lifeline is a federal program that provides a monthly discount, landline, or wireless phone service to eligible low-income households. Select "Companies Near Me" from the menu to browse participating local carriers.

Lutheran Community Services
Offers Crook County residents programs in behavioral health, family support, child welfare, refugee and immigrant services, senior and disability services, as well as resources in parenting, divorce, mediation, and youth mental health first aid.

Family-centric social service organization based in Central Oregon. Programs include energy and heating assistance, housing assistance, child care placement, help with accessing SNAP and other public benefits, and Prineville Head Start.

Redemption House Ministries
Online home of Redemption House and Regeneration House homeless shelters and Craig's Compassionate Cafe.

Bowman Museum
Looking for a local obituary or historical newspaper article? Start here! Prineville’s local history museum offers new exhibits every year, free tours, and speaker events. They also offer historical and genealogical research assistance though the Crook County Genealogical Society.

Cascades East Transit
Need a ride? Cascade East Transit provides curb-to-curb dial-a-ride service to Prineville residents along with regular shuttles connecting Prineville, Powell Butte, and Redmond. Catch a ride at the shuttle stop by our bookdrop on 2nd Street! You must call ahead to ride: (541) 385-8680. Plan on being ready at least 15 minutes before your scheduled pickup time.

Find the most recent local news including sports, obituaries, public notices, and a community calendar. (We also keep the last two months of off-line papers on the library's newspaper shelf.)

Chamber of Commerce
The Chamber can help with information on vacationing, relocation, or doing business in Prineville. Also features a Chamber Events calendar and a directory of local businesses.

City of Prineville
All things City of Prineville, including information on city government, city departments, municipal services, and helpful links for Prineville visitors. Also included is a link to pay your utility bill and helpful quick links to many local resources.

Crook County
The official website for Crook County features quick links to property research tools, jobs, public notices, county fees, available services, court agendas, and a link to pay your taxes. It also features links to all county departments, including contact information.

Oregon Blue Book
The Oregon Blue Book is an almanac covering the history, economy, government and culture of Oregon. In addition to encyclopedia-length articles, the Oregon Blue Book includes a directory of Oregon media outlets, schools, political and legal organizations, elected officials, arts and culture organizations, government offices, consulates, and Native American tribes. Resources for K-12 students and teachers are also provided. The Oregon Blue Book is available in print at the library.

The Oregon Encyclopedia
“An Authoritative and Free Resource on All Things Oregon,” the Oregon Encyclopedia is a first-stop research gateway for Oregon-related topics. All entries in the Oregon Encyclopedia are written and reviewed by experts and include bibliographic information. Selected entries include high-quality photographs, maps, and links to primary-source documents. A great resource for local history homework!
