About Us - Support Your Library

Would you like to help Crook County Library offer great programs and services to other residents of our community? Consider applying to be a library volunteer. Library volunteers enhance, rather than replace, the work of paid library staff while helping us make the best use of our fiscal resources. Volunteer positions include:

Adopt a Shelf
Book Repair
Computer Mentor
Disc Repair Technician
Little Free Library
Magazine Weeding
Materials Cleaner
Summer Reading Program

If you're interested in volunteering, contact our Volunteer Coordinator Jennifer at 541-447-7978 ext 319. You can also get started now by downloading a copy of our Volunteer Application online.

You must be over the age of 14 to volunteer. Teens interested in helping to plan Teen Late Night, Third Thursday, and other teen events can also join the Teen Library Commission (TLC).

Everyone who volunteers at the library must adhere to the Crook County Volunteer Policy.

The Library Board and Director encourage gifts to the library consistent with the library's mission and policies, including the Gifts & Donations Policy. Donations extend and enrich library services and are not intended to replace regularly budgeted library expenditures.

The library accepts donations of books and other materials as outlined in the library's Collection Development Policy. Materials not added to the collection typically are included in Friends of the Library book sales.

If you wish to honor or memorialize a person, give monetary or tangible gifts, or include the library in your estate planning, please review our Charitable Giving brochure or contact Library Director Buzzy Nielsen at 541-447-7978 ext 314.
