Central Oregon is currently experiencing an increase in Gonorrhea infections. Gonorrhea is a common Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) among men and women. It can be asymptomatic, meaning it does not show any symptoms. Some symptoms do include: 

Men - 

  • A burning sensation when urinating;
  • A white, yellow, or green discharge from the penis;
  • Painful or swollen testicles (although this is less common). 

Women - 

  • Painful or burning sensation when urinating;
  • Increased vaginal discharge;
  • Vaginal bleeding between periods.

We recommend STI testing for everyone once a year after becoming sexually active and with every new partner. If you have multiple sexual partners or have not received your annual screening and are sexually active, please make an appointment to be screened today 541- 447-5165.
