Notice is hereby given that the Crook County Court will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at its regular meeting which starts at 9 a.m. to consider withdrawal of County road status from a portion of Old Houston Lake Road and Broadwater Road that is entirely surrounded by and terminates within the boundaries of real property owned by Vitesse, LLC.  The hearing will be held in the Crook County meeting room, 32o NE Court St., Prineville, Oregon.

After tabulating the bid results for the General Aviation Aircraft Apron Project at the Prineville/Crook County Airport, the apparent responsive and responsible low bidder is High Desert Aggregate and Paving Inc.  In accordance with the terms of the Request for Proposals (RFP), Crook County reserves the right to “postpone the acceptance of bids received and the award of the contract for a period not to exceed one hundred twenty (120) days, or to reject any and all bids received and further advertise for bids.”  Bid opening took place on August 16, 2018.  Therefore, this document shall serve as notice of Crook County’s intent to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder on or before December 14, 2018, subject to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) funding.

Crook County, Oregon, is seeking a qualified contractor to construct New Aircraft Fueling System. This project will construct a new public use, general aviation, new aircraft fueling system to include new above ground fuel tanks (Jet-A and Avgas 100LL), foundation, fuel dispensing equipment, appurtenances, canopy, lighting, pavement construction, drainage improvements, pavement marking, and miscellaneous electrical improvements. Major elements of work associated with the existing aircraft fueling system include the decommissioning, removal, and disposal of two existing underground storage tanks and all appurtenances.

Public Meeting Dates
Work Sessions: 9:00 a.m. each Tuesday
Regular Meetings: 9:00 a.m. 1st and 3rd Wednesdays

Note:  Occasionally it may be necessary to cancel or add a meeting date.

Public Work Session
Prior to the regular public meeting, the County Court meets for a general public work session in the County Legal Office located at 203 NE Court Street, Prineville, Oregon.  The purpose of this meeting is to provide the Court members an opportunity to conduct informal communications with each other, review pending matters, and identify issues before taking action during regular public meetings.  The public is welcome to observe.  Deliberations by the Court on agenda items generally occur during the regular public meeting, not during work session.  However, when time constraints require otherwise, the County Court may act on agenda items during work sessions, including executive session items held pursuant to ORS 192.660 or similar law.

Regular Public Session
The regular public meeting is the time during which the County Court considers items published in the agenda, including scheduled public hearing items, including approval of minutes, approval of legal documents, scheduled appearances, public hearings and executive session.
